Mental Practice

This mental technique uses the imagination to improve function and reduce anxiety. Most elite performers and athletes use some variation of this approach to optimize performance and minimize performance anxiety. Scientific studies show that this practice enhances performance and contributes to a calm sense of mastery. Studies also show that the whole neuromuscular system including brain and muscles "practice" when we engage in mental practice or visualization.
