Guided Imagery

Positive mental imagery can promote mental and muscle relaxation, decrease pain, improve mood, control high blood pressure, boost the immune system, and lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Through guided imagery, people can learn to control functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and body temperature. Imagery can be used virtually anywhere, anytime. It is probably the easiest relaxation technique for most people to master.
