Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that specializes in maintaining balance (mental & physical) while using internal (core) strength to counterattack. Qigong can be thought of as a Chinese system of Yoga encompassing physical and mental practice. There is a broad and deep body of scientific evidence indicating that Tai Chi and Qigong can enhance a physical therapy regimen. This tradition improves body mechanics and lumbar stability for chronic low back pain, incontinence, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, neck pain and repetitive strain injuries. Qigong is a Chinese system of Yoga and can include physical, mental and spiritual practice. Tai Chi is in the Neigung tradition of martial arts that also includes Xingjiquan (Hsing I Chuan, Hsing Yi) and Baguazhang (Pa Kua Chang).
