Bill Gallagher has been working with elders to reverse frailty for more than a decade. He offers a combination of:
- Physical exercise (Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Feldenkrais, conventional strength & flexibility training)
- Mental techniques (meditation, guided imagery)
- Manual therapy (osteopathy, massage, myofascial release, shiatsu, conventional physical therapy)
to slow or reverse the effects of aging. While some of his elderly patients are self-motivated many need to be educated on the benefits of investing time, effort and money to address frailty. Some of his patients see him on an ongoing basis. Others work with Bill for a few sessions, few weeks or months to get to the point where they can continue the work to maintain vigor on their own. Some of these clients schedule a session periodically to modify exercises or get manual therapy that enhances comfort or function.
